摘要: The term “DNA origami” was proposed by Paul Rothemund in 2006 to describe his invention of a new type DNA nanostructures. In that revolutionary work, he showed the ability controlled folding long single-stranded scaffold DNA, with help hundreds short staple strands, into exquisite nanopatterns. After invention, this technique has been constant focus field nanotechnology for past few years. Great efforts have made build 2D and 3D origami structures, improve assembly strategy, study inherent properties, develop applications. chapter, we will summarize structural evolution from Rothemund’s first latest developments constructing more complex larger optimizing assembly, combining it top-down techniques.
