摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the antimicrobial and antioxidant packaging system in which or substance are incorporated into coated onto their materials, such as plastic films paper. For antioxidative applications, agents should be on layer, remain stable for a required time, finally released from surface controlled manner. Because most active compounds biological origins sensitive to heat, thermal fabrication of plastics (such extrusion injection) offers limited possibilities inclusion these substances directly polymer matrix without loss activity. Therefore, solvent compounding solution coating preferred, will prevent compounds' When selecting proper solvents casting conditions, it is important consider solubility polymers additives. Biopolymers, proteins carbohydrates soluble water, ethanol, many other solvents, thus good by compounding. However, biopolymer have stability high humidity restricts range applications. On hand, some agents, plant extracts bacteriocins relatively heat-stable, can extruded pressed with use mild heat.
