摘要: Protein kinase D (PKD) is a novel serine/threonine structurally distinct from all protein C (PKC) isoforms but which like classic and PKCs activated by phorbol esters diacylglycerol. This study investigated the regulation of PKD in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC) physiological regulators VSMC function growth factors. Treatment rabbit aortic with ester, angiotensin II PDGF-BB stimulated activity time- concentration-dependent manner VSMC. The effect was particularly rapid potent (maximum stimulation within 1 min at 0.5 nM). In contrast, maximum obtained after 5 min. Other factors, including basic FGF, IGF-I, IGF-II, endothelin-1 endothelin-2, had no on These results show for first time that regulated VSMC, vasoconstrictor II. may be an important mediator biological function(s) one or more PKC and/or represent component PKC-independent signalling pathway
