In vivo effects of black tea on the male rat reproductive system and functions of the kidney and liver.

摘要: This study focused on the effects of black tea male reproductive system as well kidney and liver functions. Male Wistar rats were given aqueous extract (2% 5%) for 52 days only means drinking fluid, while control received tap water. Black enhanced sperm vitality (44%-49%), total motility (10%-12%) acrosome reaction (2%-9%) (p  .05). (5%) increased weight (p < Testis epididymis showed normal histological appearance. However, significantly reduced diameter (9%-10%) epithelial height seminiferous tubule, but cauda (8%-24%) (p < .05). A significant reduction in serum levels alanine aminotransaminase (ALT) (38%) aspartate (AST) (23%-34%) was observed (p < .05); creatinine level, other hand, (8%-72%) improved several parameters, may cause subtle changes certain organs
