摘要: OBJECTIVE: Retrograde drainage into the cortical veins results in poor outcome patients with an intracranial dural arteriovenous fistula. However, pathophysiological features of fistulae remain obscure. This study aimed to clarify hemodynamic and metabolic conditions these using positron emission tomography. METHODS: included eight All had venous reflux, as demonstrated by angiography. Regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF), regional volume (rCBV), rate for oxygen, oxygen extraction fraction (rOEF) were measured before after surgical or endovascular treatment RESULTS: Pretreatment position tomographic studies revealed that all abnormal parameters area was drained involved veins. A severe increase rCBV noted seven patients. significant decrease rCBF also observed negative correlation between rCBV. Three elevated rOEF. Oxygen metabolism impaired patient. underwent successful treatment. Follow-up improvements rCBF, rCBV, oxygen. The improvement varied among Normalization rOEF confirmed three who increased CONCLUSION: present suggest characteristics vary widely reflux. it is essential precisely evaluate predict their outcomes therapeutic effects.
