摘要: The subgenus Anopheles (Nyssorhynchus) (Diptera: Culicidae) includes the primary vectors of Plasmodium spp. in Colombia. Most adult females this are difficult to identify field using available keys. With objective further investigating discriminatory power modern morphometrics, both landmark-based and outline-based approaches were explored wing venation geometry 11 species. Wing shape was able separate closest species subgenus. When analysed together, validated classification scores on average 5.3–8.6 times higher than those expected by chance observed. These computed from total sample not satisfactory for recognition benarrochi B, oswaldoi s.l. strodei. sibling captured sympatry. To improve identification morphometric tool, it necessary analyse these separately remaining best obtained a combination 12 landmarks collected only intersections veins, but also spots.
