摘要: Over a period of 17 months, 11th instar female Julus scandinavius (Latzel) were fed on ash, sycamore, birch, beech and oak leaf litter in variable states decomposition to determine food preferences. Leaves different species age compared with rotten wood, preferences expressed as relative number wood faecal pellets. It was shown that each had attain certain (different for species) before it became palatable the animals. Preference decreased both sides these optima; also increases series ash sycamore birch oak. Animals respond by searching until suitable substance is found, when feeding supervenes. The time spent not significantly correlated palatability while clearly was.
