摘要: In the 1970’s, a variety of developments took place to heighten public and scientific interest in electromagnetic fields. Examples include microwave beaming U.S. Embassy Moscow, Navy’s large low-frequency antenna project (Project Sanguine), intense magnetic fields used proposed fusion reactors attempt by utilities utilize very high voltage transmission lines enhance conservation. During this time, biological studies nonionizing were taking place, but no clear evidence risks health was identified. Then came surprising epidemiological finding Wertheimer Leeper (1979) suggesting that 60 Hz may be related some childhood leukemias. Our particular at ORNL how interpret available data with respect human exposures nearly ubiquitous
