摘要: Background: Clinical trials investigating the potential benefits of perioperative total parenteral nutrition (TPN) for reducing risk surgery in malnourished cancer patients have yielded controversial results. Methods: Ninety elective surgical with gastric or colorectal tumors and weight loss 10% more usual body were randomly assigned to 10 days preoperative 9 postoperative vs a simple control group. The daily per kilogram TPN regimen included 34.6 ± 6.3 kcal nonprotein 0.25 0.04 g nitrogen volume 42.6 7.3 mL fluid. glucose-to-fat calorie ratio was 70:30. Control did not receive but received 940 plus 85 amino acids postoperatively. Results: Complications occurred 37% receiving 57% (p = .03). Noninfectious complications mainly accounted this difference, which 12% 34%, respectively .02). Mortality only 5 group .05). length hospitalization longer than .00), whereas stay two groups differ significantly. Conclusions: This study shows that is continued postoperatively able reduce complication rate by approximately one third prevent mortality severely gastrointestinal cancer.
