摘要: Although biguanides are widely used in the treatment of non-insulin- dependent diabetic patients, underlying mechanism for their antidiabetic effects is not fully understood. There circumstantial evidence that mode action multifactorial. It unknown, however, to what extent different single contribute overall effect. Recent studies indicate metformin improves peripheral insulin action, which might occur both at receptor level and/or postreceptor site. now generally accepted defects major importance resistance type-II patients. Findings indicating influence sites seem, therefore, be more relevant than possible on binding.
