摘要: The final properties of an industrial product depend on the processing route material. Hence there is impetus to study different routes obtain most desirable properties. In present study, low carbon steels have been subjected novel deformation induced ferrite transformation (DIFT) technique produce dual-phase microstructures that are composed ultra-fine with martensite and/or bainite as a second product. this thermomechanical technique, rapidly cooled from austenitization temperature (which at least 25°C above Ar3 temperature) highly undercooled austenite, followed by heavy deformation, and subsequently thereby facilitating fine grained ferrite.
