Hakka Genealogical Metadata Principles and Practicalities

摘要: Genealogy (Zupu in Chinese) is the history of families. has been widely used for tracing their lineages and history. Hakka a special Chinese ethnic group. To explore origin people culture, this study starts with genealogy. After several genealogies collected, content analysis performed study. According to qualitative data analyses, designs pedigree metadata standards implement union catalog. The Pedigree Metadata comprised many individual family ancestors, each which process place archiving distribution genealogical contains following types constructs. 1) Pedigree: use given name lines expressed genetically related. 2) Individual: describe personal information. 3) Family History: story ancestors narrated. 4) Bibliography: description book. 5) Miscellany: included unique documents that could not categorized above four classification. Results can be applied integration
