摘要: This contribution attempts to import the study of autism into biolinguistics program by reviewing current state knowledge on its neurobiology, physiology and verbal phenotypes from a comparative vantage point. A closer look at alternative approaches primacy social cognition impairments in spectrum disorders suggests fundamental differences every aspect language comprehension production, suggesting productive directions research auditory visual speech processing as well executive control. Strong emphasis is put great heterogeneity phenotypes, raising important caveats towards an all-or-nothing classification autism. The brings interesting clues about nature evolution language, particular ontological connections with musical perception functions generativity. Success this endeavor hinges upon expanding beyond received wisdom purely disorder favoring “cognitive style” approach increasingly called for both inside outside autistic community.
