摘要: Abstract We have built the second version of a Large Area Detector (LAD) with 500 μm thick pixellated silicon detector that is bump-bonded to seven readout application-specific integrated-circuits, (ASICs) each 64×64 pixels. The module has 448×64 pixels, 150 μm×150 μm uniform pixel size and no dead regions. whole (67.2 mm×9.6 mm) photon counting pixels can be activated X-rays low observed crosstalk high rate. Each on ASIC novel 5-bit energy adjustment optimised automatically by Labview-based routine. This cures non-uniformity problem earlier design. sensitive from 8 25 keV programmable threshold. A National Instruments based system been which up-graded Xilinx FPGA allowing 1000 frames/s acquired system. hardware controlled Labview GUI program different runs display images spectra. expanded in modular fashion cover 300 mm×300 mm for high-frame-rate protein-diffraction studies at third generation synchrotrons or other X-ray imaging applications.
