摘要: Abstract We studied reuse of Goshawk Accipiter gentilis nests after timber harvesting within 50 m from the nest in 31 territories southeastern Norway. The proportion used second or third breeding season logging (55%) did not differ significantly that 27 control (67%). Both for all ( N = 58), and with closer than = 31), reused differed those by being situated a larger area mature forest, forests higher Norway Spruce Picea abies , which gives better cover Scots Pine Pinus silvestris deciduous trees. However, nesting target Spruce-dominated forest stand seemed to lack alternative nests, probably due more intensive landscapes. Hence, Goshawks’ tolerance towards may be overestimated forests. recommend foresters planning near focus on remaining its structure. In order maximise chance reuse, patch at least 2 ha suitable around should retained.
