摘要: We report 2 cases involving femtosecond laser–assisted cataract surgery following a retinal-detachment repair performed 1 and 2 years earlier using silicone oil endotamponade that was subsequently removed. Preoperative slitlamp examination did not show emulsified in the anterior chamber. Intraoperatively, however, seen on segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) as distinct hyperreflective retrocorneal line there no penetration of OCT signal or delivery laser treatment through this area, resulting incomplete capsulotomy lens fragmentation both cases. Because has lower density than aqueous migrates superiorly, careful preoperative gonioscopic to evaluate for superior angle is warranted eyes having after vitrectomy with silicone-oil endotamponade. Review intraoperative images can detect oil, which would allow procedure be modified appropriately prevent complications.
