摘要: We reviewed the results of silicone oil removal after vitreous surgery for recurrent retinal detachment with proliferative vitreoretinopathy in 55 eyes. The minimum follow-up period was six months. Retinal recurred five eyes (9%). Evidence epiretinal membrane formation at time or noted 21 (38%). Penetrating keratoplasty combined successful patients. Mild corneal changes ten (18%) remained same cleared seven removal. Overall, postoperative visual acuity improved 24 (44%), 18 (33%), and decreased 13 (24%). In 22 without clinical evidence silicone-associated complications removal, unchanged 20 (91%).
