摘要: Cytology plays an integral role with endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and allows for definitive diagnosis staging of tumors examined by the technique. This chapter discusses some basic principles cytology as well nomenclature. It then discusses, in more depth, cytologic features disease processes seen throughout organs typically sampled EUS-guided fine needle aspiration.
