摘要: Although poly(lactic acid) (PLA) is among widely used biodegradable polymers, it has limited applications due to its inherent brittleness, low elongation at break and toughness. Blending with natural rubber (NR) epoxidised (ENR) seems be a promising alternative, as both materials are derived from renewable resources. Natural was melt-blended in an internal mixer, Haake Rheomix, rotor speed of 50 r.p.m. 180oC. Liquid (LENR) compatibiliser the binary blending system thermoplastic (TPNR). Results indicate that mixing torque value stabilisation LENR blends lower than without compatibiliser. Various compositions rubber, were investigated respect stress-strain behaviour. It found addition improved stress Young’s modulus blend 40/60 PLA/rubber compositions. The increase associated ability compatibilise PLA/NR blends.
