摘要: De Wit replacement series were used to study competitive interactions between epiphytic Ice+Pseudomonas syringae strains and the biological frost control agents Ice-P. TLP2del1 Pseudomonas fluorescens A506. Mixtures containing two in different proportions but at a constant total population size inoculated onto potato leaves. The sizes of each strain determined when community had reached equilibrium. A near-isogenic P. pair exhibited an interaction similar that expected for competing equally limiting environmental resources. Replacement with nonisogenic Ice+ pairs suggested these competed resources according their relative abilities. There was no evidence any niche differentiation Ice+P. strain. growth responses epiphytes following addition nutrients phyllosphere indicated populations nutrient limited that, under chamber conditions, more by availability carbon than nitrogen. Determination vitro source utilization profiles provided further lack strains. Niche overlap indices calculated respect uniformly high, indicating ecological similarity, consistent observed low level coexistence. agent A506 replaced syringae. This correlated high degree species.
