摘要: Objectives: The purpose of this retrospective study was to determine the proportion urine-containing prostatic cavitary lesions (“urinary cysts”) in dogs and describe their clinical management. Methods: included with clinically relevant prostatic-retention cyst/abscess (n=87) treated initially by percutaneous ultrasound-guided drainage cavity. Based on a fluid:serum creatinine ratio, population divided into two groups: group 1 (n=16) 2 (n=71) without evidence urine within lesion. Medical records both groups were reviewed. Results: Cavitary containing observed 16 87 (18·4%; 1). In 10 (62·5%) dogs, abdominal surgery recommended, because recurrent filling during follow-up. 2, recommended only 11 71 cases (15·5%). Clinical Significance: 18·4% (95% confidence interval, 10·9 28·1%) contain urine. Measurement cavity fluid is helpful tool diagnosing presurgical intra-prostatic urethral fistulation, these tend require more aggressive surgical therapy than alone.
