摘要: In poultry industry, cross-contamination due to processing equipment and contact surfaces is very common. This study examined the extent of bacterial attachment 6 different types design conveyor belts: stainless steel-single loop, steel-balance weave, polyurethane with mono-polyester fabric, acetal, polypropylene mesh top, polypropylene. Clean belts were immersed separately in either a cocktail Salmonella serovars (Salmonella Typhimurium Enteritidis) or Listeria monocytogenes strains (Scott A, Brie 1, ATCC 6744) for 1 h at room temperature. Soiled chips dipped rinses contaminated incubated 10°C 48 h. The fabric belt chip exhibited higher (P<0.05) mean number attached (clean: 1.6 3.6 cfu/cm2; soiled: 0.8 2.4 cfu/cm2) L. 4.0 4.3 0.3 2.1 both clean soiled conditions. steel lower 0 2.6 0.4 1.3 2.9 0.7 than polymeric materials, indicating weaker adhesion properties. Plastic stronger compared steel. result suggests importance selecting finishes materials that are most resistant attachment.
