摘要: Prismatic gypsum crystals are forming in soil at one locality along the coast of Brown Hills (lat. 79°45′S, long. 159°46.7′E). They enriched radiogenic 87Sr and have an 87Sr/86Sr ratio 0.7517. This value permits conclusion that Sr was derived from igneous basement rocks (Cambrian) excludes possibility is marine origin. The δ 34S +11.5% which coincides with this parameter evaporites Permian age. However, absence such evaporite Transantarctic Mountains elevated do not support origin for sulfate. values pyrite pegmatite mafic local range +4.0‰ to +7.0‰. These results indicate sulfate ion may formed by oxidation sulfide minerals Hills.
