摘要: We constructed a patch dynamics model which can be used to simulate the changing sizes of resident populations in series interconnected habitat patches. applied white—footed mice (Peromyscus Leucopus) inhabiting patches forest an agricultural landscape. The predicts that mouse isolated woodlots have lower growth rates and are thus more prone extinction than those connected woodlots. Field data support this prediction.
