摘要: Transposable elements can generate germinal and somatic mutations, hence represent a powerful tool for the analysis of gene function. Transposons from maize have been adapted to mutagenise genomes diverse species. The efficiency these systems partly relies on ease with which (i.e. germinally transmitted) or excisions be detected. Here we describe use HY2, that codes an enzyme involved in biosynthesis phytochrome chromophore, monitor excision Ds gene-trap element Arabidopsis thaliana.
