摘要: Interleukin-8 (IL-8) may play an important role in Helicobacter pylori infection-associated chronic active gastritis and peptic ulcer disease human. We have recently reported that a gastric cancer cell line, MKN45, produced massive amount of IL-8 upon coculture with live H. pylori. Moreover, induced the activation NF-kappaB as well AP-1, leading to gene transcription. In this study, we evaluated effect rebamipide, antigastritis antiulcer agent, on pylori-induced production. Rebamipide inhibited production several lines infected addition, rebamipide suppressed expression at transcriptional level revealed by northern blotting analysis luciferase activity cells were transfected vector linked 5'-flanking region (bp -133 +44). Furthermore, significantly infection. These results suggest protect against mucosal inflammation associated infection through inhibition proinflammatory cytokine, IL-8.
