摘要: There are few endocrine surgical emergencies in the cancer patient above that seen non-cancer population. Endocrine can be quite common but usually nonsurgical. relatively uncommon general population as well. Nevertheless, there three need to recognized and treated appropriately patient. These (1) primary hyperparathyroidism exacerbating factor or cause of hypercalcemia malignancy, (2) pheochromocytoma setting other malignancy due hereditary syndrome, (3) severe Cushing syndrome paraneoplastic ACTH secretion from an unknown unresectable primary. all present emergency patient, lethal if unrecognized untreated. While initial treatment is medical stabilize surgery should then performed sooner rather than later definitively resolve
