摘要: Since the early 19th century, host-defense peptides (HDPs) have been known to play a crucial role in innate host defense. Subsequent work has demonstrated their adaptive immunity as well involvement cancer and also number of inflammatory and/or autoimmune diseases. In addition these multiple functional activities, several studies shown that HDP accumulation might be correlated with various human diseases and, therefore, could used biomarkers for such. Thus, research aimed validate clinical use HDPs diagnosis, prognosis, further treatment. this review, we outline most recent findings related biomarkers, epidemiological value, techniques determine levels HDPs.
