摘要: Publisher Summary Ionization potentials (IPs) and electron affinities (EAs) are among the most important physical properties of small clusters. They can help to indicate both electronic gross structure, if any, possessed by Moreover, they serve as one measure transition from individual atomic bulk behavior. For several years, experiments at University Florida have employed Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR) mass spectrometry study a number gas phase ionic processes. The FT-ICR technique is method best suited for obtaining qualitative quantitative information about ion/molecule reactions. has been used cluster ions formed directly laser desorption in analyzer cell. Given importance ionization understanding given power reactivities, such chemical reactivity studies ions, that is, their propensity undergo charge transfer reactions, determine This chapter presents advantages disadvantages bracketing approach.
