摘要: Calcium regulation in lower vertebrates appears to be a continuum. The predominant hypercalcemic hormone reptiles, birds and mammals is parathyroid hormone, while the major control fishes pituitary factor, probably prolactin. In amphibians dual controlling mechanisms are at work, so that both parathyroids exert their influence. Prolactin may still retain some potency higher vertebrate groups, either directly or indirectly by influencing secretion of other hormones. On hand, does not occur in, nor it elevate blood calcium fishes. It thus seems new invention tetrapods, possibly have evolved from factor ability very important seawater fishes, which corpuscles Stannius control. terrestrial forms, present, hypocalcemic factors assume minor role overall
