摘要: Due to the potentially accumulative nature of Fladen Ground, an area intense oil activity in North Sea, a survey was carried out 1989 map distribution contamination relation these activities. All sediments collected were screened by ultraviolet fluorescence (UVF) for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and selected samples analysed n-alkanes (by GC-FID), PAHs biomarkers GC-MSD). This repeated 2001, with all sites being resampled. UVF equivalents, PAHs, biomarkers. The concentrations parameters decreased between average decreases ranging from 43% 88%. In addition, no significant difference found, parameters, near field ( 5 km installation) 2001 indicating that Ground is approaching 'steady state' or background concentration contamination.
