摘要: It is currently believed that aging closely linked with mitochondrial dysfunction, and resveratrol exhibits anti-aging neuroprotective effects by improving function, even though the mechanisms are not well defined. This study explored quality (mitochondrial DNA integrity copy number), function (fusion/fission, mitophagy/autophagy), antioxidant system activity of Akt/mTOR Ampk/Sirt1/Pgc1α pathways, inflammation in zebrafish retinas to identify probable resveratrol's effects. mtDNA integrity, number, fusion regulators, mitophagy, antioxidant-related genes were all decreased whereas was increased upon retinas. Resveratrol shown only increase but also suppress These results support notion dysfunction major players age-related retinal neuropathy zebrafish, demonstrate a trend towards fragmentation retina. Importantly, promoted up-regulating Ampk/Sirt1/Pgc1α, down-regulated pathway retinas, suggesting it may be able prevent oculopathy.
