摘要: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the volumetric change upper airway space in 36 Class III patients who had undergone bimaxillary surgery or isolated mandibular setback, and, further, analyse relation between post-surgical stability and using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). A three-dimensional (3D) CBCT examination performed at three stages: T0 (before surgery), T1 (an average 4.6 months after T2 1.4 years surgery). results showed that volumes oropharyngeal hypopharyngeal airways decreased significantly post-surgery setback group (p<0.05), these diminished not recovered post-surgery. In group, volume also decreased. Spearman correlation analysis anteroposterior length area a with cross-sectional nasopharynx correlated maxillary relapse only (p<0.05).
