摘要: We used magnetic resonance imaging to determine the volume of mamillary bodies in 9 patients with chronic Wernicke's encephalopathy, 7 presumed Alzheimer's disease, and 37 control patients. The mean body (+/- standard error) was 21.3 +/- 5.8 mm3 Wernicke patients, 40.1 3.7 Alzheimer 51.7 2.5 Seven nine (78%) encephalopathy had smaller than 36 decrease related neither patient age nor degree ventricular enlargement, most likely reflects atrophy that is grossly apparent at autopsy up 81% This technique provides a means identifying specific macroscopic lesion encephalopathy.
