摘要: We review in situ observations made Jupiter and Saturn’s magnetosphere that illustrate the possible roles of magnetic reconnection rapidly-rotating magnetospheres. In Earth’s solar wind-driven magnetosphere, magnetospheric convection is classically described as a cycle dayside opening tail closing (the Dungey cycle). For Jovian Kronian magnetospheres, heavily populated by internal plasma sources, classical concept Vasyliunas cycle) plays key role final stage radial transport across disk. By cutting flux tubes have been elongated rotational stress, process would lead to formation plasmoids propagate down tail, contributing evacuation internally produced allowing return toward planet. This has studied inspecting ‘local’ signatures reconnection, field reversals, flow anisotropies, energetic particle bursts, more global consequences on activity.
