摘要: Den characteristics were quantified for dwarf mongoose Helogale parvula and banded Mungos mungo dens to determine reasons of den selection. Dwarf mongooses preferred multi-holed termitaria located in thickets, close cover, while the preferences similar. Both species primarily used single-night stays. Fifty-six per cent 35% more than once. Two 36 inhabited by both species, but not simultaneously. The importance habitat parameters influencing selection are discussed, compared two viverrid species. Eienskappe van die skuilplekke dwergmuishonde en gebande muishonde is waargeneem om redes vir skuilplekkeuse te bepaal. Die verkose beide was termiethope waarin baie gate was, ruigtes, naby skuiling. Beide spesies het hoofsaaklik gebruik 'n enkele nag. Ses-en-vyftig persent dwergmuishond se meer as eenmaal gebruik. Twee deur gebruik, maar nie gelyktydig nie. belangrikheld habitatparameters wat beinvloed word bespreek vergelyk.
