摘要: Background The purpose of the study was to evaluate safety and selectivity retinal pigment epithelium lesions by using automatic energy ramping dosimetry technique for selective retina therapy investigate healing response. Methods Ten eyes Chinchilla Bastard rabbits were treated with an dosage controlled laser (frequency doubled Q-switched Nd:YLF, wavelength: 527 nm, pulse duration: 1.7 μs, repetition rate: 100 Hz, energy: linear increasing from up shut down – maximal 110 μJ, max. number pulses in a burst: 30, spot diameter: 133 μm). After treatment, fundus photography, optical coherence tomography fluorescein angiography performed at three time points 1 h 3 weeks. Histological analysis performed. Results A total 381 spots tested (range 13–104 μJ).Typical photographs obtained after irradiation showed that 379 out produced not visible ophthalmoscopically could be detected only. Optical images revealed structure photoreceptors preserved, but disrupted layer observed as expected. By weeks, histology damage without any effect on inner focal proliferation layer. Conclusions Automatically is significant improvement this innovative treatment. It demonstrated non-contact, reflectometric ramp safe selective.
