摘要: As the capacity and performance of LTE data channels are progressively improved, downlink control can potentially become bottleneck. To address this issue, an enhanced physical channel (EPDCCH) has been introduced in 3GPP Release 11. The design goals EPDCCH include ability to support increased capacity, beamforming improved spatial reuse, frequency-domain intercell interference coordination, while taking into account coexistence with legacy terminals. This article explains principles considerations behind 11, describes corresponding specification support.
