摘要: Many theoretical and experimental investigations have concluded that evanescent electromagnetic modes can propagate superluminally. However, in this paper we show the average energy velocity of inside a cutoff waveguide is always less than or equal to light vacuum, while instantaneous be superluminal, which does not violate causality according quantum field theory: fact particle over spacelike interval preserve provided measurement performed at one point cannot affect another separated from first with interval.
