Discriminative factor analysis of juvenile delinquency in South Korea.

摘要: PURPOSE: The present study was intended to compare difference in research variables between delinquent adolescents and student adolescents, analyze discriminative factors of behaviors among Korean adolescents. METHODS: design this a questionnaire survey. Questionnaires were administered 2,167 (1,196 students 971 delinquents), sampled from 8 middle high school 6 juvenile corrective institutions, using the proportional stratified random sampling method. Statistical methods employed Chi-square, t-test, logistic regression analysis. RESULTS: smoking, alcohol use, other drug being sexually abused, viewing time media violence pornography. Among these factors, factor most strongly associated with delinquency smoking (odds ratio: 32.32). That is, adolescent has 32-fold higher possibility becoming than non-smoking adolescent. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings, that strongest behavior, suggest educational strategies prevent may reduce rate delinquency. Antismoking efforts are therefore urgently needed South Korea. Language: en
