摘要: The redox-active transition metal copper is an essential trace element for growth and development serves as a structural or catalytic cofactor many enzymes in range of physiological processes. Mammalian homeostasis tightly regulated, imbalance metabolism implicated various pathological disorders. Radioactive isotopes, particular 64Cu (t1/2 = 12.7 h) 67Cu (t1/2 = 62.01 h), have made important contributions to the understanding health disease. This review gives brief account how radiolabelled copper(II) salts bioreductive complexes been used uptake, transport efflux vitro vivo. Recently, positron emission tomography (PET) has emerged noninvasive tool image living subjects 64Cu-PET investigated study copper-related neurological disorders, genetic diseases cancer.
