摘要: Barley anthers from cold pretreated spikes produced no or few calluses when plated with both loculi in contact the medium (‘flat’). When were only one loculus (‘up’), a high proportion of calluses. The top ‘up’ was most productive. ‘Flat’ anthers, compared not slower to produce multicellular pollen grains (MCPs) and microcalluses, but also fewer them ceased production earlier. MCPs microcalluses ‘flat’ grew more slowly developed beyond 30 cell stage. These results establish importance anther orientation for barley culture.
