摘要: Abstract Energy transfer and vapour production processes have been studied in an experiment involving the transient heating of a metal foil under water. Data were obtained on temperature, pressure heat flux with time resolution ⩽ 10 μs over range temperatures 100–900°C water subcoolings 20–80°C. Both unstable stable energy shown to occur at above nucleate boiling region relevant quantitative data obtained.
