摘要: Summary Objectives To evaluate the performance of newly developed technology Abbott RealTime MTB assay (RealTime assay) for detection Mycobacterium tuberculosis in sputum specimens and to compare its with that Cepheid GeneXpert assay. Methods Sputum were collected from 270 subjects suspected have (TB). Smear microscopy, culture, identification, MTB, assays performed according standard protocols. Accuracy measures method evaluated determined using solid culture as reference standard. Results The showed similar positive rates smear-positive, culture-positive, smear/culture-negative groups; no significant differences found these groups between two assays. demonstrated a sensitivity 100% specificity 84.4%; had 96.9% 89.6%. After resolution discordant results by PCR-based molecular method, sensitivities specificities vs. 97% 90.0% 95.6%, respectively; difference or was Conclusions This study specificity. is highly promising diagnosis TB.
