摘要: Although silicon dioxide (SiO2), silver (Ag) and iron oxide (Fe2O3) nanoparticles are widely used in diverse applications from food to biomedicine, vivo toxicities of these exposed via the oral route remain highly controversial. To examine systemic toxicity nanoparticles, well-dispersed were orally administered Sprague-Dawley rats daily over a 13-week period. Based on results an acute 14-day repeated study, 975.9, 1030.5 1000 mg kg(-1) selected as highest dose SiO2 , Ag Fe2O3 respectively, for study. The did not induce dose-related changes number parameters associated with up 975.9 whereas resulted increases serum alkaline phosphatase calcium well lymphocyte infiltration liver kidney, raising possibility kidney induced by nanoparticles. Compared showing no distribution all tissues tested, concentration sampled blood organs nanoparticle-treated group significantly increased positive and/or trend, meaning that including toxicity, might be explained extensive originating Our current suggest further study is required identify detected outside gastrointestinal tract indeed nanoparticle form or ionized form.
