摘要: A 15-day-old, 48-kg, intact male, American Quarter horse foal was referred to the Atlantic Veterinary College Teaching Hospital (AVC) with a 12-hour history of depression, lethargy, decreased nursing activity, and fever. Foaling observed by owner reported have been uneventful. The umbilicus dipped in dilute chlorhexidine during first days life. nursed normally immediately after birth be healthy for 2 wk life no abnormalities attitude, appetite, defecation, urination, or appearance umbilicus.
