摘要: Metronidazole is a bactericidal antibiotic with strong activity against most anaerobes and certain parasites. The drug has excellent bioavailability good penetration in tissues, including the cerebrospinal fluid brain abscess contents. It usually well tolerated few side effects. With exceptions, percentage of anaerobes, B. fragilis group, that are resistant to metronidazole remains low. been used extensively clinical practice for years, its uses have expanded.
