Structural, Optical and Photoconductive Properties of Chemically Deposited Nanocrystalline CdS Thin Films

摘要: Nanocrystalline cadmium sulphide (CdS) thin films were prepared using chemical bath deposition (CBD), and the structural, optical photoconductive properties investigated. The crystal structure of CdS film was studied by X-ray diffraction. crystallite size, dislocation density lattice constant CBD initially decreases with increasing thickness, it is nearly over thickness 2,500 A. size. Urbach energies are obtained fitting absorption coefficient. band gap increases finally saturates constant. energy 2,900 A-thick for 60 minutes 0.24 eV 2.83 eV, respectively. activation at low high temperature regions 14 meV 31 meV, It considered that these correspond to donor levels associated shallow traps or surface states film. Also, value γ from light transfer characteristic 1 10 V, applied voltage.
