Shipment Consolidation: Who Pays for It and How Much?

摘要: This paper examines the subject of cost allocation in a multiple product inventory system, allowing for consolidation shipments. If we order items using an economic quantity (EOQ) policy, and consolidate shipments, part ordering is shared, specific to each item; want find choice with optimal total divide fairly among individual items. Such fair division central costing system which no group subsidizes others; there are free riders! We use cooperative game determine when this can be done. usually not concave, so know what combinations divided, core game. prove that all cheaper exactly if allocations (core empty), happens portion common too small. further show how sensitive nonempty result adjustments parameters threshold value shared cost, assures existence allocation.
