摘要: A method for removing dipeptides from the amino terminus of precursor polypeptides to produce a polypeptide product is presented which comprises contacting sufficient time remove dipeptide with dipeptidylaminopeptidase (dDAP) slime mold, Dictyostelium descoideum, has mass about 225 kilodaltons and pH optimum 3.5. The may be made recombinantly analogs naturally occurring polypeptides.
